So to do this question, first rearrange the numerals n the parenthesis.

(1)/(4) (8 + 20 - 6x)

(1)/(4) (28 - 6x)

Now, distribute the
(1)/(4) into the parenthesis.

(28)/(4) -
(6x)/(4)
7 -
(6x)/(4)

- (6x)/(4) = -1.5x

7 - 1.5x

distribute 1/4 by multiplying it by 8, -6X and 20 you end up with
1/4times8=2
1/4times-6x= -1.5x
1/4times20=5
so 2-1.5x+5
add 2 and 5 to get 7
the answer is -1.5x+7
