There is a vfery simple way to answer this question, and that is to take your amount(in this case 2.04) and divide it by your rate(a dozen=12). 2.04/12=0.17
.

0.17 because you would do $2.04/12=0.17 so that would be the answer want to check it do 0.17*12=2.04 so 0.17 is your answer
