2x+y=6---------(2)

y=6-2x---------(3)

putting value of y on equation

3x-5y=22

3x-5(6-2x)=22

3x-30+10x=22

13x=22+30

13x=52

x=52/13

x=4

putting value of x on equation (3)

y=6-2x

y=6-2.4

y=6-8

y=-2
