Apply :

U= 1/2 kx^2

Where:

U= energy = 96 J

x= stretch = 5 cm = 0.05 m

k= spring constant

Isolate k:

K = 2U / x^2

Replacing:

k = 2*96J / (0.05m)^2 = 76800 N/m
