We should convert either of them to have the same unit to compare.
1 mile = 5280 feet
Add 1 mile (in feet) to 900 feet.
5280 + 900 = 6180 feet
6200 feet > 6180 feet
6200 feet is greater

One mile is 5280 feet, so when you add 900 to that, it ends up being 6180 feet, so 6200 feet is greater.
