3x + 6 = 7 - 2x
3x + 2x + 6 = 7
5x + 6 = 7
5x = 7 - 6
5x = 1
x = 1/5

3x + 6 = 7 - 2x

Add 2x to each side: 5x + 6 = 7

Subtract 6 from each side: 5x = 1

Divide each side by 5 : x = 1/5 or 0.2
