Since the whole numbers part are equal 7, we have to compare the fraction al parts:

2/5 and 3/7

Express them in decimal form to compare:

2/5 = 0.4

3/7= 0.42

0.4 is less than 0.42, so:

7 2/5 is less than 7 3/7
