Homophones are words that sound the same but are not written in the same way - they are spelled differently. In Latin, the word homo means the same, and phone is a sound, so a homophone is "the same sound." Having this in mind, it is quite easy to figure out that the set of words which is an example of homophones is C. flea/flee. A is an example of rhyme, B and D are synonyms.
