Answer:

Edward de Vere

Step-by-step explanation:

The question of the authorship of Shakespeare's works dating back to the eighteenth century refers to the debate over the attribution of William Shakespeare's works, that is, whether the works were actually written by him or another person or, still, by a larger group of playwrights and poets. Although many nominees have been proposed as the true author of the works, the main ones included the names of Francis Bacon, Christopher Marlowe, William Stanley (6th Earl of Derby) and Edward de Vere, 17th Earl of Oxford, who is currently the most popular candidate .

Anti-Stradfordians are a group of people who believe that William Shakespeare wasn't who he was pretending to be. They believed that someone else was the actual Shakespeare, but for some reason decided not to show himself/herself. There have been many candidates for the "real" Shakespeare, but today the most popular one is, (I believe, but I'm not completely sure) Francis Bacon, a famous British philosopher, Attorney General, and Lord Chancellor.
