Can the sum of two mixed numbers be equal to 2?Explain why or why not.

Answer:

technically yes and no

Explanation:

if you have negative number because then you are just subtracting but other than that no because mixed number needs at least 1 whole number then whatever the fraction is

Well yes they can, only if one of the numbers is negative. Example: 4 1/2 + (-2 1/2) = 2
