The issue that was avoided when writing the Constitution was slavery. Option C is correct.

The word slave was not written in the constitution, when refering to them, the word persons was implemented. In fact, in the constitution, it is declared that “all men are created equal” and endowed with “Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”

The constitution of the United States consists on seven articles, it entered into force in 1789, and has been amended 27 times.
