What is the difference between dividing 16 by 2 and finding the square root of 16

16 ÷ 2 = 8

In this equation, you split 16 into 2 equal parts, which are 8 and 8.

The
√(16), however, is finding what number times itself makes 16. The answer is 4 in this case. 4 x 4 = 16

You get 2 different answers (2 and 4). They are two different operations.
