Tickets and price for tickets.

Form 2 equations

X + Y = 15

15X + 8Y= 155

X= Number of adult tickets

Y = Number of children tickets

Then now

multiply first equation by 15

15•(X + Y ) = 15X + 15Y = 15•15 = 225

Then, now substract

15X + 15Y = 225

minus

15X + 8Y = 155

Result is

0 + (15-8)Y = 225 - 155 = 70

7Y = 70

Therefore

Y= 70/7= 10

Now replace Y = 10, at first equation

X + Y = 15

X + 10 = 15

X = 15 - 10 = 5

ANSWER FINAL IS

THERE ARE

15 CHILDREN and

5 ADULTS
