In terms of business I guess it means (I'm not sure what the correct term is but) a helpful relationship in the sense that television companies are essentially helping snack food businesses. - is it like a mutualistic relationship (although this is like a scientific term) because both the television companies and snack food businesses benefit from the relationship. As more people watch tv they snack more, and they more snacks available the longer people are entertained while watching tv (or their experience is improved). I'm not too sure.
