Ryan bought grapes last week for $1.65 per pound. If he bought n pounds, write an equation to show how much money (m) he will spend.

n = # pounds
$1.65 = price per pound
grapes cost
(1.65)/(pound)
When you multiply cost/pound by the number of pounds, the result is the cost for however much of the grapes Ryan buys.

Therefore,
m = 1.65n
