Find the area of the rectangular prism minus the area of the bottom of the cabinet.

A = 2(wl+hl+hw) - (lw)

A= 2(4/3*3+ 6*3+6*4/3) - (3*4/3)

A = 59.994- (4)

A = 55.994 ft squared

Answer:

The Area of sides she intend to paint is 52 feet²

Explanation:

Given: Height of cabinet = 6 feet

Width of Cabinet =
1(1)/(3)=(3+1)/(3)=(4)/(3)\:feet

Height of cabinet = 3 feet

To find: Surface area of side she intend to paint

Area of side she intend to paint = Area of side 4 walls + Area of top

= Curved surface area of cuboid

+ area of rectangle

= 2 × height × ( length + width )

+ length × width

=
2*3*(6+(4)/(3))+6*(4)/(3)

=
6*((18+4)/(3))+2*4

=
2*22+8

= 44+8

= 52 feet²

Therefore, The Area of sides she intend to paint is 52 feet²
