-(5)/(2)x+(3)/(4)x=-(3)/(4)\\\\-(5*2)/(2*2)x + (3)/(4)x=-(3)/(4)\\\\(-10)/(4)x+(3)/(4)x=-(3)/(4)\\\\(-10+3)/(4)x=-(3)/(4)\\\\-(7)/(4)x=-(3)/(4)\\\\-(7)/(4)x * -4 =-(3)/(4) * -4\\\\7x = 3\\\\\boxed{\bf{x =(3)/(7)}}

Simplify both sides of the equation

-5/2 x +3/4 x = -3/4

Combine like terms

(-5/2 x + 3/4 x )

-7/4 x = -3/4

-7/4 x = -3/4

Multiply both sides by 4/(-7)

(4/-7)*(-7/4 x ) = (4/-7 ) * ( -3/4 )

x = 3/7
