3/5 +x = 2/3 First, you minus both sides by 3/5 to make x the subject
3/5 -3/5 +x = 2/3 -3/5
x = 2/3 -3/5 Multiply 2/3 and -3/5 so you get the same denominator
= 2*5/3*5 - 3*3/5*3
= 10/15 - 9/15 Now you can minus it
x = 1/15

You can only add/minus two fractions if they have the same denominator.

First

Simplify both sides of the equation

x + 3/5 = 2/3

second

subtract 3/5 from both sides

x + 3/5 -3/5 = 2/3 -3/5

x= 1/15

I hope you understand it ! and I hope its help !
