the base is 14 because 14× 9 = 126 and 126÷2 =63

area=base times height times 1/2
63=area
9=height
63=bsae times 9 times 1/2
multiply both sides by 2 to get rid of 1/2
126=base times 9
divide both sides by 9
14=base

base legnth=14 inches
