The correct answer is option C

The birds are adapted to live on the ground as this biome is grassland and have few variety of trees.

The trees there are scrub oaks, olive trees chamiso cork, pines, cork et cetera. Mainly this biome has shrubs and less number of trees.

The amount of rainfall that this biome receives is also very less so the trees are not very common there for the birds to survive.

Hence, birds are adapted to live on the ground and prey during night time.
