Explanation:

2x⁴ = 9x²

2x⁴ - 9x² = 0

x²(2x² - 9) = 0

Either x² = 0 or 2x² - 9 = 0.

When x² = 0, x = 0.

When 2x² - 9 = 0, x² = 9/2, x = ± 3/√2.

Hence the solutions are

x = 0, x = 3/√2 and x = -3/√2.
