integers are numbers that are either
1. terminating decimals
2. repeating decimals
3. can be written in the form a/b where b does not equal 0 and a is not a symbol (like pi)

whole numbers are the counting numbers (aka natural numbers so doesn't include negatives) and 0
so

integers examples:2/3, 0.66666666666666, 4, -9.2, 3.5454545454forever
whole numbers are: 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8...
