8 5 /9 + 1 1/5
8 + 1 = 9. 5/9 + 1/5 = (5/9)*(5/5) + (1/5)*(9/9) = 25/45 + 9/45
= (25 + 9) /45 = 34/45
= 9 34/45

9 5/9 + 1 1/5
9 + 1 = 10
5/9 + 1/5 = 25/45 + 9/45 = 34/45
10 34/35 is the answer
