THE CORRECT ANSWER IS FALSE! She didn't insist on it?? She didn't even know her friend had lost it. I have this assignment it's #12.

The correct answer for this question it this one: "TRUE." Monsieur and Madame Loisel borrowed more money than was needed to pay for the lost necklace because Madame Forestier insisted on it. The statement presented is TRUE. They just being fooled of a fake necklace.
