Best-Fit Linear Model
Given a scatter plot of two variables, we are interested in finding a line that best fits and represents the whole set of points.
That line usually passes through the very center of the cloud of points, minimizing the distance from the line to each one of the points.
The first graph goes over almost every point and it's too far away from the bottom points.
The second graph goes behind the dataset. It can hardly represent it.
The third graph is just a horizontal line that misses most of the points and is far away from them.
The best-fit line is for sure, the last graph as shown below:
