if you know that2 nickels are .then 10 + 10=100 ,you need 10 dimes to make $ 1.00 . $1.00 + $1.00 is $2.00 then just add $ 0.25 cent .

try getting rid of the decimal. then divide 225 by 5.
the answer will be 45 nickels
