One side of a square is 10 units. Which is greater, the number of square units for the area of the square or the number of units for the perimeter? Explain.

Number of units squared for the area of the square =
10^(2) = 100
units^(2)

Number of units for perimiter = 4×10 = 40units

100>40
Therefore the square units for the area is greater then the units for the perimiter
