General Eisenhower was an army leader that developed the two most important operations of the World War II. In 1943 he finished the invasion of North Africa and carried on the invasion of sicily. After those effective operations he went to the UK and planned the normandy invasion, it is said that he developed a very good relationship with Winston churchill even though they had big planning disagreements. He actually started planning the Overlord operation or Normandy Invasion in January 1944 because President Roosevelt named him the orchestrator of that duty in December 1943.
