Answer:

The form of administration which is at the lowest tier of the administration is known as the local government. These governments act within the power given to them by the legislation. In the US the local government is the third tier of the government. There is a great deal of variation in the institution of the local government. Some common names for local government are region, prefecture, and shire. Most Americans are more in touch with their local and state governments than the federal government. The local government is chosen by the people but voting percentages are very low.
