-5 3/4 - 3 1/2

-(5 3/4 + 3 1/2)

= - (5 + 3 + 3/4 + 1/2)

= -(8 + 3/4 + 2/4)

= -(8 + 5/4)

= -(8 + 1 1/4)

= - (9 1/4)

= - 9 1/4 ft


So her depth in feet is 9 1/4 feet.
