filled 8 vans and 8 buses with 240 students. High School B rented and filled 4 vans and 1 bus with 54

in each van and in each bus.

We can divide by 8 and we will get that V+B=30 so B=30-V. hs B rented 4vans and 1 bus for 54 students so 4*V+1*B=54. we alredy know that B=30-V so we can substitute that in the 2nd equation so 4*V+30-V=54. simplify and we'll get that 3V=24, V=8 and B=30-V=30-8=22
