Which line has a slope of 1/2 and goes through the point (2,4)?

the line equation for its slope and one point is:
y - y1 = m(x - x1)
m is the slope, x1, y1 are the point coordinates, so lets substitute:
y - 4 = (1/2)(x - 2)
y = (1/2)x + 3
