describes how many units
of the first type of quantity corresponds to one
unit.

I unit rate is a normally a fraction with a denominator of one.
How to find a unit rate...
50 miles
/ 5 hours
÷ 5 (divide by the denominator) = 10 miles/1 hour
10 miles / 1 hour is a unit rate.
