what is the answer to this?

kenji buys 3 yards of fabric for $7.47. Then he realizes that he needs 2 more yards. How much will the extra fabric be?

3 yards...........7.47$ 2 yards........... x$ 3/2=7.47/x 3x=14.94/ ÷3 x=4.96 so, 2 yards mean 4.96$ and 5 yards cost 12.43
