Answer:

m = -14/3

Explanation:

Well we know that the slope formula is m=y2-y1/x2-x1

So in this case we are given the points (-3,6) and (0,-8) now we just need to place it in the formula

(-3,6) (0,-8)

x1 y1 x2 y2

m = -8 - 6

----------- = -14/3

0 - (-3) ------------- > (The reason why I put an arrow to it because I know some people that they forgot to add the parenthesis to a negative number because you see they might put it like this (0-3) and thats wrong because you have a negative number in your x1 and you need to add that negative sign to it with the minus sign so it should be like this --> 0-(-3) which in that case when you multiply a negative times a negative its always positive ----> 0+3 = 3 )

Hope this helps!!!
