Hi there!

To solve for your equation, first, it would be a little helpful to rewrite it, as it looks easier to work out.

-6 - 2m = 10

Let us begin!

Step 1) Simplify both sides of the equation. (Below are the steps on how to simplify!)

-6 + -2m = 10 -2m - 6 = 10

Pretty simple to simplify! :D

Step 2) Add 6 to both sides.

-2m - 6 + 6 = 10 + 6 - 2m = 16

Pretty easy so far!

Step 3) Divide both sides by -2.

(-2m)/(-2) = (16)/(-2) m = -8

Final Answer -

m = -8

See, it wasn't so bad! If anything, it was too easy! :)

Hope this helps! :D

Add 6 to both sides>>>−-2m=10+6
Simplify 10+6 to 16>>>−-2m=16
Divide both sides by -−2>>>m=16/−-2
Simplify 16/−2 to -−16/2>>>>m=-16/−2
Simplify 16/2 to 8>>>>m=-−8

Answer m=-8
