The correct answer is B) Capture Jerusalem and the Holy Land.

The Crusades were a series of battles that took place over more than two centuries between Muslims and Christians to Capture Jerusalem and the Holy Land.

In the late 11th century, Christians from Western Europe began a series of military maneuvers to stop the Muslim expansion in the Middle East. The Christians aim was to take back former Cristian territories, conquer new ones, but most importantly, capture Jerusalem and the Holy Land that were under the leadership of the Muslims. Historians considered that there were eight crusades wars in 200 years, from 1096 the first one, until 1212, the last one.
