52. 75 * 0.25 = 13.19
52.75 - 13.19 = $39.56 is the amount he will pay.

If he gets a 25% discount, then he is basically buying the sleeping bag for 75% (75%=0.75) of the original price.
$52.75x0.75
=$39.5626
≈$39.56
(Since money only goes to the hundredths place it is rounded)
He will pay $39.56 for the sleeping bag.
