Slope intercept form:

y=mx+b

Where:

m= slope

b= y-intercept

If 2 lines are parallel the have the same slope:

So:

y = 2x + 1

slope = 2

Since the only option that has slope =2 is

y = 2x - 5

The second option is the correct one.
