If we draw a Vertical number line, Where Sea level Represents=0,

Point on number line where Rory is standing = +300 feet

Equation of average change in elevation over time is given by equation:

e = 300 - 10 t

So, when t=0, e=300

and, when e=0 , gives ,

10 t= 300

→→Dividing both sides by 10

t =30

→Average change


=(e_(2)-e_(1))/(t_(2)-t_(1))

→Rate of change


=(300-0)/(0-10)=-30{(feet)/(minute)}

t (minutes) 0 30
