If you need in fractions...
7/10 + 4 = 4 and 7/10
You get this by just adding the whole number to the fraction. Or, do it this way...
7/10 + 4/1 : find LCD to get 10.
=7/10 + 40/10
= 47/10
= 4 and 7/10
