All area : 8x*12x=96x^2
Area for field : 3x*6x=18x^2
Area of land wich will be left for the bleachers,restrooms,and other parts of the stadium: 96x^2-18x^2=78x^2
So the answer is A.78x^2

Answer:

option (a) is correct.

The land that will be left for the bleachers,restrooms,and other parts of the stadium is
78x^2

Explanation:

Given : A sports team is building a new stadium on a rectangular lot of land.

Also, The lot measures 8x by 12x and the field will be 3x by 6x.

We have to find the land that will be left for the bleachers,restrooms,and other parts of the stadium.

Given dimension of rectangular lot is 8x by 12x

thus, Area of rectangular lot = length × breadth

Length = 8x

breadth = 12x

Area of rectangular lot = 8x × 12x =
96x^2

Also, dimension of rectangular field is 3x by 6x

thus, Area of rectangular field = length × breadth

Length = 3x

breadth = 6x

Area of rectangular lot = 3x × 6x =
18x^2

Thus, area of land left = Area of rectangular lot -Area of rectangular field

area of land left =
96x^2-18x^2=78x^2

Thus, area of land left is
78x^2

Thus, option (a) is correct.

The land that will be left for the bleachers,restrooms,and other parts of the stadium is
78x^2
