(3 x 10⁸ meter/sec) x (100 cm/meter) x (3.2 x 10⁷ sec/year)

= (3 x 10⁸ x 100 x 3.2 x 10⁷) (meter-cm-sec) / (sec-meter-yr)

= ( 9.6 x 10¹⁷ ) ( cm/yr )
