The sentence is false

After years of relative stagnation, the war began its outcome in March 1917 with the fall of the Russian government after the February Revolution and the signing of a peace agreement between the revolutionary Russia and the Central Powers after the October Revolution, in March 1918. On November 4, 1918, the Austro-Hungarian Empire requested an armistice. After a major German offensive in early 1918 along the entire Western Front, the Allies pushed back the Germans in a series of successful offensives. Germany, in full revolution, requested an armistice on November 11, 1918, ending the war with the Allied victory.

No, it is technically false that the collapse of the German allies led to the German surrender in World War I, since in fact Japan continued to fight after Germany's surrender.
