The length of a rectangular garden is 7 feet longer than its width. The garden's perimeter is 202 feet. Find the length  of the garden.

.A = area
A = L*W
A = 50 ft * 42 ft
A = 2100 sq ft

2W + 2(w+7)= 202
2w + 2w + 14= 202
4w + 14 = 202
4w = 188
W= 47
L=54

I'm sure u could have figured it out after I made the equation. That's the tough part- u just got to learn to pick the important parts out of the problem and put them into an equation.
