You could turn the mixed fractions into improper fractions so 4 4/6 would become 28/6 and 5 2/6 would become 32/6. Then you can subtract 32/6 by 28/6 which would be 4/6 simplified into 2/3

You want to subtract the heights. 5 2/6-4 4/6=5 1/3-4 2/3=2/3.
