Determine if the graphs of the equations are parallel

y=2x +5
5y+2x=4

For the two lines to be equal, they have to have the same slope.
So put the other one in slope intercept form because the first one is already in the equation of y=mx+b, where m is the slope.
5y+2x=4
5y=-2x+4
y=-2/5x+4/5
The second line has a slope of -2/5
The first line has a slope of 2.

They are not parallel, because they don't have the same slope. One has a slope of -2/5 and the other one has a slope of 2.
