What is Wollstonecraft’s purpose in citing Rousseau’s theory?

She cited Roussseau who was one of the proponents of Social Contract Theory wherein everyone has inalienable rights not only men but women. Since these right came from God, to deny them is considered a sin. Apart from Rousseau, she also cited John Locke.
