How do u work out 5.54 X 27 without a calculator

Add a decimal point after 27. Then you multiply. You add up your numbers and then count the spaces until you get to your decimal point. The insert the decimal the number of spaces you counted to the left.

You first multiply the numbers but don't add the decimal then when u get your answer go to the back count how many points of the decimal is in and that is how many u have to go to the left.
