Five oranges were selected at random from a crate of 53 oranges. Their diameters were measured, in millimeters, and then recorded.

Diameters: 46, 39, 53, 61, 49

What is the estimated mean diameter of the 53 oranges in the crate?

So first we add all the diameters together.
It will equal 248.
Now you divide that by the number of oranges that were selected (5)
That will equal 49.6.

And thats how you find the estimated mean diameter. If you were suppose to round up to the nearest one I suggest you put 50, otherwise 49.6 is fine. C:

I hoped this helped you!
